Alopecia Areata

Alopecia areata is an unpredictable skin condition that involves rapid hair loss all over the body. Affecting roughly five million individuals, it is caused by the immune system attacking the hair follicles. Professional basketball player, Charlie Villanueva suffers from a form of the condition known as alopecia universalis.
